Product Description
Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR) Material
Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR) is a highly saturated special elastomer processed through selective hydrogenation. Derived from nitrile butadiene rubber, HNBR offers excellent flexibility and plasticity, making it suitable for manufacturing various products including O-rings, gaskets, and hoses to meet diverse application requirements.
Material Characteristics
Mechanical Properties
HNBR exhibits high strength, exceptional tear resistance, and superior abrasion resistance. With tensile strength ranging from 10MPa to 30MPa and elongation at break reaching 200% to 800%, HNBR withstands significant external forces and repeated deformations while maintaining stable performance during long-term use without cracking or wear issues.
Environmental Resistance
  • Oil Resistance: Excellent resistance to fuel oil, lubricating oil, aromatic solvents, and various petroleum-based fluids
  • Chemical Corrosion Resistance: Strong resistance to chemicals including freon, acids, alkalis, and other corrosive substances
  • Ozone Resistance: Exceptional ozone resistance for long-term performance in ozone-rich environments
  • Weather Resistance: Good weathering and aging resistance for extended service life in harsh outdoor conditions
Physical Characteristics
HNBR features uniform texture and smooth surface with excellent elasticity and flexibility. With an elastic modulus between 1MPa and 10MPa, it provides close adhesion to sealing surfaces for effective sealing performance. The material also offers superior appearance quality suitable for applications with high aesthetic requirements.
Thermal Performance
HNBR operates effectively across a wide temperature range from -55°C to 180°C. This broad temperature tolerance ensures stable performance in various working conditions, including high-temperature automotive engine compartments and low-temperature environments in cold regions.
International Standards & Certification
Dowhon holds IATF16949:2016 quality management system certification. Our HNBR products comply with international standards including ASTM D2000 and ISO 6471, ensuring global recognition and suitability for demanding applications in automotive, aerospace, and other quality-critical industries.
Packaging & Delivery
Standard packaging includes 20kg cartons, with 500kg or 800kg per wooden smoke-free pallet.
